A Balanced Brain

My journey to a balanced life began with an unbalanced brain

Nineteen years ago, just four months after I left my secure job and started my own business, I was “not diagnosed” with a brain tumor. Rather, I was listening to a doctor tell me that it was “most likely nothing, but we need to be certain”.

Thus accelerated my journey to a balanced life. I just didn’t know it at the time.

This site was built to share my story with the eventual hopes of allowing others to do the same. In its current early stages, the site is an amalgamation of previous web sites that told my story of my brain tumor, as well as my mountain climbing (sorry, they are related, trust me).

Cancer has robbed the precious lives of many dear friends and family. I hope to build this site into a resource for those battling cancer, their caregivers and loved ones, and the survivors like me that can offer hope and support.

Thanks for visiting, and check back in for updates that hopefully add content and blogging features that pay homage to the great cancer community – patients, caregivers, survivors … but not victims.
